Konran:Zanki REDUX SUPER-DEVLOG


Hello Moongazers! WistieCutie here!

Welcome to this major Konran:Zanki REDUX devlog! It sure has been a Loooooooong while since I last posted an update but here goes nothing!

Development for REDUX is going strong but is one hell of a ton of work! However, this new version is bound to be a huge improvement from the OG version!

Let’s talk it out!

First, we’re dropping RPG Maker VXACE’s 640480 resolution, now we’re finally with a 19201080 resolution! At long last, it really took Fujitsuki long enough to get a proper resolution!

The mouse system will be hugely improved! No more arrow keys to awkwardly move left and right, the camera will now track your mouse’s movements, which will make the whole thing waaaay smoother!

Of course various other things will be changed such as: instead of Danganronpa-like free-events, you’ll get to talk to the characters but also discover more about them by texting with them, using a new Prism interface that will simulate a phone-like structure, making the whole thing easier to follow up.

The whole vibe of the game will also change on a global scale, the game will finally get its own personality!

In a nutshell, better graphics, new and improved lore (with a brand new ending) better visuals, better UI, better mechanics and etc…

And if everything goes as planned, the game will also have different routes! Giving the player a bit more freedom than in the OG version.

Now, let’s cut short the talk-talk and now let’s give more substantial matter to scrutinize!

Slowly, we’re also attempting -me, the talented musicians and the music director, Mikan Tsumikiwi- to create more original soundtracks for the game.

Voice-acting-wise, we’re having the Japanese voice acting that’s slowly filling up, only a few characters remain voiceless, in the white void of voiceless characters, and, perhaps, hopefully… We’ll get an english dubbing as well! Depending on how things go!

All in all…

Konran:Zanki REDUX is an exciting project and a new horizon for my very first released project. I really hope this new version can gather more players around its new, gripping story. I’m pretty passionate about this project so me, and the Fujitsuki team, will do our best to deliver a promising entry in the survival, Visual Novel genre!
